Good grief. You can go read this and tell me what you think about it. It seriously irks me, and it definitely alters my view of Dumbledore. What a bummer. It's like saying, "Dumbledore was a pervert."
I have never read these books, but when I read the title of the news story that Rowling "outs" the schoolmaster character she created as being gay, I thought, What's the point? Why introduce sexuality into stories aimed at children?
It's interesting that she makes an explosive comment like this months after Book 7 was released. Did she do it for publicity reasons? Who can say at this point?
