In case there is anyone left checking in on the Sojourner blog, I wanted to announce that I will soon return to writing. I have been very busy as of late, resigning my church, starting and organizing a new church, and drinking coffee. But now I will have a little more time to write because our little church plant has called another pastor to come alongside and help to get things rolling. His name is Drew Dixon, and you can check out his stuff by following the new links on my sidebar. So go and get acquainted with Drew's stuff, and then decide to move down to Albertville and be a part of New Covenant Baptist Church. Woot.

I thought you guys would make a good team. Now you have the chance to prove it. We are in Richmond now so be praying for us.
Drew's links are bad.
I think they're fixed. We'll be praying for you, bro!!
New Covenant Baptist Church, I like it. Of course now you need some missionaries to support ;-)
I pray God will bless guys in this endeavor.
I have been watching your services via the website, and really enjoyed it. I am praying for you guys.
This is Bryant...Good luck with everything! I am praying for you all!
I was wondering how this was going. Sorry I'm behind the curve on the update.
Keep us informed
Brad,
I'm not sure if you remember me but I talked in the early spring with your former church about coming to be the 'pastor to families'. As you'll remember it didn't work out (obviously haha) for some theological reasons, but I just came to drew dixon's blog through a roundabout way (a guy he blogs with is my neighbor at SEBTS). I saw that he was pastoring in Albertville, and I thought that was interesting, clicked on the link to the church and found you as the pastor. Anyway I'm commenting to say I pray that everything goes well at the new church and that the Holy Spirit blesses you and your ministry with the power that comes from preaching and teaching His Word. God bless and maybe we'll get to meet someday before heaven :-).

this is just what we need, another quote "church" in albertville. if people like you all that left would be mature christians and deal with issues that irise in church, then church might be well worth attending. the answer is not to have private meeting and plan your departure, walking out stone cold, stay there and deal with issues. do what you say you are called to do. you just took the easy way out. so did the ones that followed you. they have no backbone.
No backbone? Anonymous commenting has never struck me as particularly brave either. Perhaps if I knew who you were, and if you had a serious complaint, we could sit down and I could explain why what we did was necessary. If you are unwilling to share, then you may be content with your bravery from the shadows.
