Refugee Update

Last night when I went to bed, the shelter had around 270 people and were expecting up to 500 by the end of today. When I woke up at 6am, they had 612 people and had turned away bus loads of people. Some people were coming in soaking wet with no other clothes.

Hey Brad. It's cousin Heather down here in Bama. It's an amazing thing you're doing for those people. My best friend from H.S. lost everything in Biloxi and her boyfriend lived in New Orleans, so please prayer for her. I think my dad may be coming down with the truck from 1st Baptist. You can e-mail me at heatherkus@msn.com if you need anything.

Hey Brad...just to let you know, an announcement was made @ R.O.C.K. nights last night and we are spreading the word on ya'lls efforts. I know several people who are sending necessary items down with the First Baptist truck. Keep us updated and we'll continuing praying and sending for your efforts. Quick question..are ya'll receiving mail?

Heather,

Good to hear from you. I'll try to keep the info current here to let everyone know what's going on.

Matt,

As far as I know, the mail is working fine.

Spoke with your mom...will send via the truck...would hate for stuff to get delayed along the way.

Keep in contact.

God Bless.

I'm from a little country church (Lingleville BC) near Stephenville Tx. We are able to help a family displaced by the hurricane. We want to offer them help getting their feet back on the ground. We are currently looking for a house, but can already offer temperary housing, school for the kids, help finding a job and a supportive and loving church family and community.

If you can help us connect with a family needing our help, please call me at 254-965-3202 or e-mail me at leeann@stvleaze.net
